Rally your team. Teams can have 1-3 members and fill out the form below. Then, throughout the school year concluding with a presentation event on May 8^th, you will work with your team, teachers, and mentors to create a business plan describing any type of business you want to develop. The business plan must be limited to 10 numbered pages.

You will then turn that business plan into a 10-minute oral presentation including time for any questions the judges may have. The judges will evaluate presentations by focusing on the effectiveness of public speaking, presentation skills, and how well you respond to questions the judges may ask during the presentation.

You’ll have support throughout the program from teachers, business leaders, and Jeanne D’Arc staff to help you develop your plan.

Program Description: This event will challenge the students of Nashua High School North & South to prepare a thorough business plan of a business they would like to start. Students can work in teams of 1-3 students, and this contest will progress throughout the duration of the school year culminating in May during the final event at the Nashua Center for the Arts. At the final event, our finalists will present their business plans to our panel of judges as a pitch to potential investors to secure the necessary funding to start their business. Additionally, we will be holding an Entrepreneurship Fair on this date so the students can network with business professionals giving them necessary resources to run a successful business.

As part of your enrollment, you agree to become a Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union member and open a Primary Savings account to receive the program prize if you win. Should you win, you must be able to meet all account qualifications of the USA PATRIOT ACT to open a savings account. These criteria include the following: Name, Physical Street Address, Tax ID Number or Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and government issued identification (student ID card, driver’s license, or Passport).  Additional information may be required if the participant is not a U.S. citizen.

Eligibility: This program is open to any student enrolled in Nashua High School North and Nashua High School South.

Program Withdrawal: Withdrawal from the program will remove the team from prize money eligibility.

Program Disqualification:  A team may be disqualified from the program at the discretion of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union if it determined the project is representing and existing business or if there is suspicion of fraud.

Prize Award: Prize money will be awarded to the first and second place teams. The proceeds from the prizes will be paid in equal sums of the prize awarded to each team member by way of direct deposit into a Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Primary Savings bank account. Prize money will be credited within 30 days of the program conclusion.
