What was your journey that led you to join Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union?

In 1998, I left a job with a large national bank so my husband and I could move to Massachusetts.  As we made our way across the country, I remember saying, “I really want to work for a small, community organization where I can get involved and give back.  For several years, I worked at a few financial institutions in the Merrimack Valley but never felt like I was making a difference. Then, 21 years ago, a colleague introduced me to an opportunity at Jeanne D’Arc.  I knew immediately that the organization and the role provided me with the ability to establish meaningful relationships with members, employees, and the community.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Set goals, but don’t be afraid to take risks, try different things and find your passion!

What are the most valuable lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?

Never stop learning, don’t be afraid to ask for help, take ownership, find a way to say yes, and have fun.

Have you drawn professional inspiration from other women? Tell us about someone personally or professionally who has inspired you.

Throughout my career, I have been inspired by many women, both personally and professionally. It sounds cliché, but my mother continues to inspire me despite having passed away 19 years ago. She insisted on honesty, integrity, and kindness while finding humor in everything. She had strong determination and a positive outlook that was evident throughout her life. I would not have the life I have today if it were not for her character and unwavering support.
