College Scholarship Opportunities
Get the college funding you need to pursue your dreams
You’re ready to go to college and not sure how you are going to pay for it? Many places offer free money in the form of scholarships. Each year, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union offers MoneyStrong scholarships to both incoming college freshmen and current college students attending an accredited two or four-year college. Students must apply and be a member of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union in order to qualify for one of the scholarships offered below:

MoneyStrong College Scholarship
The MoneyStrong College Scholarship Program will award a total of $15,000 in college scholarships to high school seniors and continuing education students.

Decisions are made by the Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final. All recipients will be notified by mail and will be awarded their scholarships at a special awards ceremony.Check back in 2024 for new application

Cooperative Credit Union Association, Inc.’s College Scholarship
Better Values – Better Banking is sponsoring The Credit Union College Scholarship Program for credit unions and will award a total of fifteen (15) $1,500 scholarships in the following states:
- Delaware (3)
- Massachusetts (6)
- New Hampshire (3)
- Rhode Island (3)
In Massachusetts one scholarship will be awarded per chapter.

MoneyStrong Scholarship Requirements & Deadlines
- Applicant must be a member of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. The member’s account must be in good standing.
- Applicant must be either:
- A graduating high school senior, or equivalent, entering an undergraduate program in the Fall of 2023, or
- A current student enrolled in an undergraduate program.
- Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union employees, directors and their families are not eligible.
- An official school transcript.
- An original MoneyStrong application form, completed and signed. If applicant is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian signature is required.
- A one-page, typed, double-spaced essay addressing the following:
- Credit is borrowed money that you can use to purchase goods and services when you need them. In your essay, tell us why credit is important, and how a good credit score can help you achieve your goals.
- It must include a minimum of 250 words. Do not use your name in the essay and do not put your name on the essay page.
All items requested must be received by Friday, April 7, 2023. Applications may be dropped off at any branch location or mailed to:

Cooperative Credit Union Association, Inc.’s College Scholarship Requirements & Deadlines
Eligibility is limited to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Applicant or parent/guardian must be a member of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union.
- Students must submit the following items with their completed applications. All items requested must be received for the application to qualify for consideration:
- Completed printed Application.
- A typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue when you complete your education and why.
- An academic transcript of grades.
- A detailed list of extracurricular/community and/or volunteer activities.Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Essay
- Grades
- Extracurricular/community activities
All items requested must be received by Friday, April 7, 2022, in order for the application to qualify for consideration. Applications, along with accompanying documents may be dropped off at any Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union branch location or mailed to:

Scholarship Programs
In 2022, we awarded $19,500 in college scholarships to members through our MoneyStrong College Scholarship and Employee Scholarship Programs, for both future and current college students.
