At Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, our five core values drive everything we do. Each month, we look to acknowledge a group of employees who go above and beyond their day-to-day responsibilities and exemplify a Heart to Serve, Communication, Accountability, Teamwork, and Growth.

Here are three examples of colleagues who truly demonstrated Heart to Serve, Communication, Accountability, and Teamwork. Join us in congratulating our Core Value winners for the month of September: Amber Overko, Ryan Pooler, and Elizabeth Warren; Kelly Jackson; and Joelynn Folger.

Amber Overko, AVP – Mortgage and Secondary Market Servicing; Ryan Pooler, Senior Financial Analyst; and Elizabeth Warren, Mortgage and Secondary Market Specialist; were all recognized for their accountability and great teamwork in September. In follow up to a project this summer, the Mortgage and Secondary Market Servicing team had to manually update 1400 accounts. They received the update information in the beginning of August and each team member was assigned a set number to complete by the end of the month. While everyone jumped in immediately, Amber and Elizabeth both went a step further. Amber decided to stay an extra hour every day as support and gave her team the option to stay and complete the update after normal daily work was done in case they couldn’t do the postings during down time. Elizabeth completed her assigned updates early on and, without being asked to, decided to help one of her co-workers who wasn’t able to complete her assigned set due to being out of the office unexpectedly. As Emily Farnham, VP – Payments and Loan Servicing, put it, “Thanks to their efforts, the team met the deadline and no additional postings needed to be made.

Kelly Jackson, Digital Channel Officer, was recognized for communication, teamwork, and heart to serve. Kelly’s team is a bit short-staffed at the moment, and she has been phenomenal about persevering through it. We recently had to make changes to a number of Online Banking accounts, which resulted in many tickets needing to be opened with a vendor, and had a couple of other unforeseen hurdles pop up. She communicated throughout the week and stayed positive and helpful. She not only is doing her job, but also completing other day-to-day tasks as we actively recruit to fill the department’s open position. Anexis Sanchez, VP – Member Contact Center, said “It hasn’t been an easy couple of weeks. We appreciate all her hard work!”

Our AVP – Consumer Lending, Joelynn Folger, was praised for her accountability in how she worked through the challenges of a recent organizational project. The credit union rolled out a new member benefit product that had many complexities embedded in the design and set-up phase. Joelynn took ownership of three critical components and diligently worked through the many challenges and multiple vendors. Her grit, passion, and tenacity ensured a successful outcome. Paul McDonald, VP – Residential & Consumer Lending, “Thank you, Joelynn! We greatly appreciate your efforts.”
