Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Announces Partnership with New England Defender Keion White to Tackle Financial Wellness

LOWELL, MA (October 23, 2025) – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is proud to announce a partnership with New England Defensive End Keion White for a powerful initiative: “Tackling Financial Wellness.”  Together, they aim to educate, encourage, and empower the community to take steps toward building a more secure financial future.

Only 29 states require a personal finance course to graduate, and Massachusetts isn’t one of them – leaving students without basic knowledge of saving, credit, and debt management. Jeanne D’Arc’s Financial Wellness team delivers financial education through classroom lessons, summer programs, adult workshops, webinars, and personalized coaching. The Credit Union also operates three high school branches at Dracut High School, Nashua High School South, and Lowell High School, providing students with hands-on experience in financial literacy and banking.

Driven by a shared passion for turning financial education into action, Jeanne D’Arc, along with New England’s #99 Keion White, has created a Financial Wellness Playbook of 99 actionable steps people can take to help them achieve their financial goals. In addition, as part of this initiative, Jeanne D’Arc will be donating $50 for every New England tackle, up to $50,000, to support financial well-being across their communities.

Jeanne D’Arc and Keion White share a deep commitment to financial wellness. Before being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, White earned a degree in Business Administration from Georgia Tech. White often speaks about the importance of financial education and encourages others to invest in themselves, especially those in underserved communities.

“We are thrilled to be working with Keion White to Tackle Financial Wellness,” said Larissa Thurston, President and CEO of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “Keion is more than an elite athlete – he’s a role model who understands the importance of making smart financial choices. His commitment to making financial education accessible to everyone and planning for the future, regardless of age or profession, aligns perfectly with our mission.”

“Financial wellness is just as important as physical wellness. Throughout my journey, I’ve seen how knowledge and preparation can change the course of someone’s future. Partnering with Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union allows me to use my platform to empower people, especially in underserved communities, to take control of their financial playbook. Just like on the field, it’s about having a game plan – and with the right steps, anyone can move toward long-term success,” said New England Defender Keion White.

“We’re proud to partner with Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union to bring Tackling Financial Wellness to life. By pairing Jeanne D’Arc’s commitment to financial education with Keion White’s passion for empowering communities, we’ve built an authentic campaign that educates, inspires, and drives real impact,” said John Taylor, Senior Vice President of Sports Sponsorships at Athlete-Driven Worldwide.
