Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Raises Funds to Expand Financial Education in Local Schools

LOWELL, MA (May 27, 2026) – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union recently hosted a dinner featuring New England punt returner and cornerback Marcus Jones at Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut, MA. Proceeds from the event will fund grants for local schools to expand financial education programming.
Although 30 states now require personal finance credits for high school graduation, Massachusetts is not currently among them. Jeanne D’Arc has long supported student financial wellness through classroom instruction, community workshops, and in-school savings programs. The Credit Union’s new grant program helps bridge that gap by supporting schools with tools, programming, and educational opportunities that bring real-world financial lessons to students at all grade levels.
The application for local schools to apply for a grant is now available. Additional details can be found here.
“At Jeanne D’Arc, we believe financial education is one of the most powerful tools we can provide to help individuals and families build confidence and long-term financial well-being,” said Robin Lorenzen, Chief Marketing Officer at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “Through this grant program we’re proud to support our local schools to help expand access to meaningful financial wellness resources for students across our community.”
In 2025, the Credit Union teamed up with New England cornerback and punt returner Marcus Jones for the Tackling Financial Wellness campaign. “Tackling Financial Wellness” helps build awareness of how financial education can empower individuals through practical tools and resources that build confidence and inspire action. Together, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union and Marcus Jones highlight shared principles that support a more secure financial future for all.
