Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union Welcomes Bertie Greer, PhD to Board of Directors

LOWELL, MA (February 24, 2025) – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is pleased to welcome its newest Board Member, Bertie Greer, PhD. Dr. Greer is a global supply chain management expert and engineer with an extensive background in academia. She currently serves as the Rist Family Endowed Dean and Professor of Operations Management at the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Greer joins the board having spent the last 20 years in higher education leadership, including previously as a Full Professor of Global Supply Chain Management and the Associate Dean for Strategy and Planning in the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University in Michigan. There she was responsible for duties including strategic planning, reaccreditation, operations, and management of faculty across departments.
Before transitioning to academia, Greer began her career as an engineer, working in manufacturing juggernauts including Timken Roller Bearing, Ford Motor Company, and Chrysler/Jeep. Her industry experience encompasses buyer-supplier partnerships, manufacturing, process improvement, quality management, and many more systems and applications.
Greer is also deeply invested in community engagement. Through her involvement in several industries and educational organizations, she nurtures diverse, passionate students as they grow into leaders and scholars.

Greer is a member of numerous honorary and professional associations, including Beta Gamma Sigma, Decision Sciences Institute, Ph.D. project Lead, Ph.D. Project Management Faculty Alumni, Management Faculty of Color Association, Association for Supply Chain Management (formerly known as APICS), Institute for Supply Management, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Women Advancing Management Education, AACSB Diversity and Inclusion Affinity Group, and WIBE Network.
She currently serves as a board member on the Advisory board of the Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) at the University of Toledo, Life Leaders, Inc., Shah Academy for Leadership and Innovation, Advance Office for Faculty Equity, and the Review Board of Decision Science Journal of Innovative Education.
